Kadanoa Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 27, 2026
Kadanoa is designed so that your data stays yours. This policy explains what happens on your device and what, if anything, leaves it.
On-device processing
All transcription and processing inside the Kadanoa app happens entirely on your device. Video and audio files you import, along with the transcripts generated from them, are stored and processed locally and are never uploaded to Kadanoa’s developer or any third party.
Speech recognition model download
On first launch, Kadanoa downloads a speech-recognition model file from Hugging Face’s servers. This is a one-time download required for transcription to work. Kadanoa itself does not send any personal or interview data as part of this request. As with any standard web request, Hugging Face’s servers may receive standard connection information such as your IP address, as they would for any file download; this is governed by Hugging Face’s own privacy policy (https://huggingface.co/privacy), which we encourage you to review.
Analytics
No usage data is collected by the developer directly. Basic anonymized usage and crash activity may be collected by Apple, and made visible to the developer, only if your macOS Analytics settings have “Share With App Developers” enabled. You can review or change this setting at:
System Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements → Share With App Developers
Third parties
Kadanoa does not share any data with third parties.
